Hedione, a separate synthetic aroma material, can contribute a lighter jasmine-like floral effect. A perfumer may use extracts and individual materials together.
The difference to look for when sampling is the setting around the flower. Green notes can suggest fresh petals; tuberose makes a fuller white-floral blend; sandalwood or amber gives the flowers a warmer background. An indolic edge is one possible facet, not a test for natural jasmine content.
