Is this actually a Creed Aventus clone, and how close is it?+−
It's the fragrance most commonly cited as the closest budget alternative to Creed Aventus. The shared DNA is real — pineapple, birch smoke, and a similar fresh-fruity-masculine character — but Club de Nuit Intense Man has a harsher, more synthetic opening and a slightly heavier, smokier overall feel. It doesn't replicate Aventus perfectly, but the resemblance in the dry-down is close enough that it's become the default recommendation when people ask for an affordable alternative.
Should I get the EDT or the EDP version?+−
Both share the same core profile, but the EDP is generally considered the more wearable version. The EDT's opening can be sharper and more synthetic-feeling, while the EDP tends to lead with a cleaner pineapple note and a smoother transition into the dry-down. If the harsh opening is a concern, the EDP is worth the slight price difference. The EDT, however, is what built this fragrance's reputation and remains the more widely discussed version.
How much should I apply?+−
Less than you think. This fragrance projects strongly and lasts a long time, and it's easy to over-apply — especially since you can go nose-blind to it relatively quickly due to the ambergris content. One to two sprays is enough for most situations. More than that and you risk becoming the person who clears an elevator.
