The shared DNA is real — pineapple, birch smoke, and a similar fresh-fruity-masculine character — but Club de Nuit Intense Man has a harsher, more synthetic opening and a slightly heavier, smokier overall feel. It doesn't replicate Aventus perfectly, but the resemblance in the dry-down is close enough that it's become the default recommendation when people ask for an affordable alternative.
