Estée Lauder describes Pleasures Eau de Parfum as the clarity of flowers after spring rain: a soft, airy blend of lily, white peony and jasmine, accented by baie rose. Evelyn Lauder wanted a fragrance that released its scent gradually, like a flower opening in the sun. In a 2021 interview with Nez, perfumer Mark Buxton recalled that Pleasures’ success led Quimdis to ask him to help develop a better-quality pink pepper material. His goal was the freshness of berries just crushed between the fingers.
